QUALIFICATIONS:- 4-year Agronomy, Sales or other Ag-Related degree; MS or PhD beneficial- PCA certification in CA and AZ- Minimum 3 years working with leafy green crops such as lettuce and strawberries- High degree of technical agronomic knowledge / understanding- Strong customer focus with ability to converse comfortably with Ag Growers as well as with Senior Executive Management personnel- Solid knowledge / experience with high tech systems such as Precision Ag systems- Confident / leader mentality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Ability to travel as necessary within the state of California and to Arizona during peak growing seasons JOB DESCRIPTION:Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a Progressive Agronomic Technology organization looking to immediately hire a PCA Agronomist to provide technical sales support to large Growers, Packers and large Ag companies. This individual will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships and working closely with customers to ensure they are satisfied with services they receive and to improve upon areas of dissatisfaction. This individual must demonstrate sales/customer account management experience with Agriculture technology systems and will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.Core responsibilities to include:- Creating / Implementing policies and procedures that optimize the customer experience including gathering feedback, studying other customer success programs and analyzing customer data to identify best practices- Building / Maintaining solid customer relationships by: 1) Providing resolution of customer complaints / issues, 2) Maintaining customer contracts, 3) Tracking status of all customer samples at all times and 4) Communicating with customers regarding missing sample information- Providing Technical Agronomic and Product Support through: 1) Product training, 2) Helping customers formulate plan with best way to utilize company products for best resolution, 3) Interpreting reports and making recommendations, 4) Researching to respond to technical inquiries, 5) Providing training to PCA's and Growers on best product utilization and 6) Providing customer guidance to Product Team as necessary- Representing company at conferences, expos and sales events- Managing field trials that support marketing effortsTHIS IS A GROUND-FLOOR OPPORTUNITY WITH AN EXCITING, NEW COMPANY OFFERING A PRODUCT LINE NOT CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED BY ANY OTHER COMPANIES—VIRTUALLY NO COMPETITION IN THIS MARKET SPACE RIGHT NOW.
