Phytosanitary Compliance Manager
Corteva Agriscience?, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont? is hiring for a Phytosanitary Compliance Manager in Johnston, Iowa. In this role you will work with our internal teams to develop phytosanitary strategies to support crop production and distribution strategies for Corteva. You'll work with industry groups (NSHS, ASTA, ISF, SAA), develop phytosanitary strategies, resolve phytosanitary problems, and be responsible in various projects.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Identify the centers/countries/regions where major seed movement is expected and develop an action plan to ensure that those movements are successfulAct as the point person for Integrated Operations to resolve Plant Health Issues which affect the movement of seedsMonitor internal and external networks to identify possible changes in the regulatory environment that could impact Corteva?s right to operateInterprets and clarifies phytosanitary regulations and compliance issues for users. Works with NPPO and other groups to find a ?best solution? to new requirementsInteract with government agencies that regulate plant movements to ensure that new regulations effecting plant movement are communicated to stakeholders.Lead company efforts and work with regulatory agencies, the seed industry and others to influence the development of standards, laws/regulations and guidelines which influence plant movementWork with internal company ?teams? to implement plant health related procedures and programs to enhance plant movement and ensure freedom to operateQualifications:The following are required:Bachelor's degree or higher in plant pathology or related with 5-7 years of experience in seed production, phytosanitary, or researchAbility to work with diverse cultures within and outside of the companyAbility to negotiate, lead teams in problem solving scenarios, and influence without authorityThe following are preferred:Experience with global trade issuesProject Management experienceWe are excited to announce that Corteva Agriscience? is the name of the new Agriculture Division of DowDuPont?.
