Pilot Plant Technician
SUMMARY: he Pilot Plant Technician is responsible for all aspects of the Meat and Bakery pilot plant including; the loading dock area, freezers, and coolers. The set-up, tear down and safe operation of food processing equipment used for food processing. Execution of experimental designs as developed by product developers, food scientists and process engineers. Documentation and collection of test data accurately and timely. Understand and follow the innovation center policies and procedures applicable to the pilot plant operations. Attendance at all required food safety and employee safety training modules. Participation in company innovation day events. Complete other duties as assigned by the pilot plant manager to facilitate operation of the facility (Meat & Bakery Pilot Plant areas). Hours are Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, with some flexibility. Not other shifts apply. REQUIREMENTS: Education: An associates or high school degree with vocational ortechnical experience Experience: Must have mechanical skills to be able to set up, operate and tear down equipment used for food processing. Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills Special Skills:Must be able to work in a cold environment, 40 degree F, up to 8 hours per day. Able to stay late on an as needed basis.
