Planning and Scheduling Supervisor
CHS has an exciting opportunity at our Oil Refinery facility in Laurel, MT.
We are looking for a Planning and Scheduling Supervisor to oversee the Planning and Scheduling for the Refinery Maintenance Department. You must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are essential.
You will:Directs the Planning and Scheduling Section of the Refinery Maintenance Department.Routinely update the Planning & Scheduling work process for continuous improvement.Weekly, oversee the building of the following week's work schedule.Update the maintenance work schedule on a daily basis.Chair the daily scheduling meeting.Plan jobs for Maintenance shops.Provide a clear, complete description of work needs.Provide an objective estimate of labor, job time and job cost.Identify and requisition necessary materials.Consider and recommend the best resources to execute each job.Keep up-to-date on new maintenance methods.Print work orders and distribute to Maintenance Supervisors.Ensure consistency of job plan accuracy and detail among Maintenance Planners.Review and keep abreast of backlog for jobs which may be complete, but are still active.Initiate close-out of AFE/WO on request from Engineering and/or Accounting and perform necessary follow-up paperwork.Create hardcopy reference files, for future use, of blueprints and pertinent information completed related to AFE/WO.Ensure job plans are maintained in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in a way that they can be located and used.Ensure spare parts are properly linked to Assets in the CMMS.Together with the TA Planner, act as Maintenance Department Super User for CMMS system.Produce metrics and reports related to Maintenance and Reliability performance.Supervise and provide direction to Planning and Scheduling Department staff.Wear personal protective equipment, including respirators.Perform other duties as needed or assigned.Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Associate's or technical degree2 years of related Planning and Scheduling experienceExperience using various computer software applications including knowledge of setup and use of CMMS systemsProficient with MS Word, Excel and OutlookPreferred Qualifications: (desired)Knowledge of Prism and Maximo softwareSupervisory and/or leadership experience
