As a Plant Delivery Lead, you will Lead a high-throughput plant delivery pipeline and be responsible for delivery of gene edited or transformed plants to the cultivation team by the requested deadlinesDevelop and optimize plant delivery protocols for a production-scale environmentSupervise a team of Research Associates, train and instruct lab personnel in specific technical experimental protocolsWork with other Scientists and Research Associates to plan and execute experiments, conduct analyses, record data and report results related to one or more projectsInterpret data; maintain an accurate, comprehensible, and current laboratory journal.Communicate results in written technical reports and oral presentations You bring…. A doctorate or masters degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. molecular biology, plant biotechnology, microbiology)Five or more years of experience working in a laboratory environment (can include graduate work)At least 2 years of team leadership experience that includes coaching direct reports on performance and personal development, and building a high performing teamHands on experience with plant tissue cultureKnowledge/experience in plant regenerationIn-depth knowledge of plant cell biology and/or physiologyDemonstrated track record of tackling complex problems, leading others to obtain novel insights and driving a culture of innovationWorking knowledge of standard office software tools (i.e. Email, word processor, spreadsheet, presentation programs etc.)- experience with Google Suite is a plusExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong communication skills, both written and oralCuriosity and a desire to continuously learn and have a meaningful impactCreative and strategic thinking, willingness to be bold and take risksA collaborative approach, open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback across multiple site locations Additional Qualifications Experience in an industrial plant tissue culture groupExperience working in a production-scale environmentExperience with tissue culture protocols for diverse plant speciesFamiliarity with Benchling and LIMSApply for this job.
