Plant Maintenance & Engineering Manager
The Land OLakes Supply Chain & Operations division provides strategic leadership across the companys many business units. The team plays a significant role in fueling revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence, quality, process improvement and innovation. By partnering closely with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, the team delivers value to Land OLakes business units, members and customers.
The Plant Maintenance & Engineering Manager provides leadership and support to the maintenance/engineering organization at the Orland, CA 24/7/365 Dairy Manufacturing plant.
This position also includes focus on planning and implementation of maintenance enhancements that will improve productivity while assuring highest levels of safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory compliance. Manages site assets, facility maintenance, modifications of equipment and ensures that mechanical and electrical expertise is available to production and other departments to maintain production systems, equipment, utilities, buildings and grounds. Responsible for the supervision, development, and leadership of up to 12 maintenance personnel, including Truck Drivers, Wastewater and Boiler Room.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Project Management or related field and a minimum of 10 plus years of proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisory/Management role in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably in food/dairy processing.
Experience with PLC and Electrical knowledge, strong Mechanical Aptitude, familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Ability to follow Continuous Improvement (CI) Processes/Lean Maintenance, ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report follow through on any deficiencies. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
Skills sets in organization, prioritizing and attention to detail. Ability to select, coach, develops, engage and retain a team of employees. This individual will manage a maintenance department-operating budget with extensive project management planning and oversight experience.
Computer Skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, Project, Visio and CMMS applications. Understand maintenance planning and scheduling. Have thorough understanding of PLC's and programming Project management principles Understand World Class and Best in the Industry Maintenance practices and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
