Plant Manager

Seneca Foods Corporation, an established vegetable processing company with a growing vegetable seed business currently has an opening for a Plant Manager at its Nampa, ID Seed Facility.?The Nampa Plant Manager has overall leadership responsibility for all site personnel.? The Plant Manager is expected to get results through high personal proficiency, delegation of tasks, developing/coaching others, developing the team, and collaborating cross functionally to innovate and improve processes.? The Plant Manager is responsible for budgeting activities for both operational and capital spend.?? The Plant Manager has a direct team of 6-8 employees with 20-30 matrix employees across the site.? This position will report directly to the Vice President of Western Vegetable Operations.?The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of vegetable seed processing to include, but not limited to:Seed receiving, conditioning, treating and packaging.Leading a team of professionals and technicians to deliver a reliable supply of quality seed and service to our customers across the globe.Create a culture of continuous improvement through innovation, focused on cost efficiency, speed of product delivery, and quality of product delivered.Manage Seneca's Safety culture to ensure all activities are completed safely.?Preferred Qualifications:5+ years experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, or engineering environment.? Seed agricultural industry experience a plus.5+ years of people managment experience leading a team, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with employees, managment, and customers.Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, Business, or related area, but not required with commensurate experience.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology preferred.Proficient computer skills and capabilities.?Seneca Foods Corporation is the largest processor of canned fruit and vegetable products in the United States.?
