PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for leading and directing the overall plant operations of LifeLine Foods. Reporting to the CEO, key accountabilities include; establishing relevant KPI’s and goals designed to drive maximum operating performance in achieving sustainable cost/financial results; providing the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the Company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people to effectively manage and grow the organization, and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency; optimizing plant staffing needs and shift management/coverage promoting efficient 24/7 operating performance; developing a competent staff of managers through coaching and training; providing timely performance reports to senior leadership along with recommendations on any variances that may arise; setting objectives, establishing performance measurements, implementing new product and process improvements with all stakeholders and team members; establishing a proactive, results oriented, high-performance work-team focused on accountability and process ownership. Key responsibilities are those the individual must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation.Manage and direct the overall day to day operations of the food processing business, to include Maintenance/Engineering and Production Planning.Proactively assess future business needs and perform sustainability forecasts.Drive development of the Operational management team and high potentials.Work closely with Human Resources and senior leadership to ensure the development and retention of the workforce.Evaluate current management and staff, to include determining workloads and schedules, and training and development, to maximize manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, customer service, and productivity goal attainment.Initiate and implement timely production, maintenance reporting systems and KPIs.Review and evaluate production performance. Initiate cost savings measures relevant to production levels, downtime, labor, yields, and standards.Collaborate with all departments to ensure that plant maintenance and operational priorities are aligned with corporate vision.Direct and oversee all aspects of production and maintenance to ensure finished products are produced efficiently and economically in accordance with established standards. Identify and resolve limitations in the production process related to equipment, dryer capacity, storage, and measuring devices. Manage and coordinate customer production cycles to optimize scheduled attainment and customer serviceResponsible for insuring well coordinated and executed rail and truck loading activity at the LifeLine facility.Understand the Food Safety policy to ensure that products manufactured are within customer specifications and QA guidelines.Ensure employees adhere to all aspects of Safety and Quality, assuring that the work environment is safe and hazard free in accordance with Company and OSHA requirements.Prioritize maintenance work and projects to drive maximum uptime performance and process control. Play a key role in prioritizing capital projects.Work with CEO to coordinate all sales planning, margin management and customer service activities.Prepare and provide periodic reports to the CEO.Create and execute operating metrics to ensure that financial allocations and obligations are set, administered, and met.Responsible for installation and finalization of all capital projects related to operations.Accountable for the overall financial performance of LifeLine plant operations.Lifeline Foods’ philosophy is to maintain a flexible, cooperative and collaborative work environment; this position will play an important role in supporting external relationships including supplier/producers, owners, and customers MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The following is the requisite education and/or work experience for this position.Bachelor degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field required.Minimum 10-15 years plant management, logistics, business development/customer relations, grain processing, food processing, or ethanol experience required.
