Plant Superintendent – 3rd Shift

CVAP is now organized into two Operating Units ? beef and poultry ? with 12 plants and 3,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada`Position PurposeManage 3rd shift plant operations & sanitation activities in Monticello, MN. ? This position is required to provide leadership around Safety, Engagement, and to ensure production and sanitation goals are met. ?This position will provide support, development, and coaching for Plant Supervisors and their teams on 3rd shift.Principal Accountabilities:20% Operational Excellence: ?operations management including product quality; maintenance reliability, ?energy management, innovation, cost and budget management, efficiencies & best practices. ?Meet or exceed regulatory and Cargill requirements. 20% Sanitation Excellence: Lead all aspects of Plant Sanitation and become the primary contact for Monticello for all Sanitation related items or initiatives. ?Ensure adherence to our written Sanitation programs, polices, identified projects and established goals. Provide ?accurate information, timely execution of sanitation deliverables per plan and maintain required plant metrics to demonstrate departmental performance adherence. Responsible for developing, driving and adhering to chemical budgetary goals. 25% Leadership: ?coaching, performance management, development, recognition, engagement. ?Continue efforts to build high performing team and engage all stakeholders. ? 25% EHS Leadership: ?ensure compliance and commitment to policies, procedures, and regulations. ?Champion the continued development of a Zero Injury culture. 10% Customer Solutions & Innovation: ?focus on continuous improvement and process management and cost efficiencies to support positive customer experiences. ?Support and champion NPD and R&D efforts to drive product innovation across the enterprise. **Relocation is being offered for this position**Skills:
Required:4 Year College Degree OR equivalent experience (10+ years Ops experience AND 3+ years supervisory).4 Years supervisory experience in a production facilityProven record of managing high performing teamsEvidence of strong leadership skills around managing and developing employeesEvidence of strong leadership skills in Safety, Food Safety, sanitation, developing and leading teams, budget management, regulatory compliance, food processing, and operational excellence?Effectiveness in coaching, motivating and developing high performing individuals and teams. ?Demonstrates ability to lead a diverse workforce.Excellent communication skills (listening, written, verbal, presentation). ?Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.Relentless determination and courage to make things happen; strong execution skills; results-oriented.Expertise in process management and project management.Mechanical skillsStrong people skillsProblem solving skills and experience in plant floor information systemsPreferred:Sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing facility is preferred ?
