Reports to the Director, US Pork & Poultry Marketing. The incumbent will be responsible for leading three marketing managers that will focus on key biological brands plus bio-devices that are marketed by Zoetis. The incumbent will be responsible to train, develop and maximize the contributions of the marketing managers and identify future opportunities for the marketing managers. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for developing the winning marketing strategies for assigned portfolio of brands in pork and poultry. Additionally, responsible for ensuring forecasting short-term (12 months) and intermediate (12-36 months) volume and revenue projections for manufacturing, sales, and operating budgets through the marketing managers. Develop and execute plans to optimize key brand positioning, market share, revenue targets, and lifecycle efforts for the assigned portfolio across pork and poultry. Leverage appropriate market research and data to measure brand equity, positioning, and purchase intentions, and act upon identified drivers of brand adoption or rejection. Optimize resources (investments), including promotional budget and team resources to maximize revenue and profitability. Be accountable for overall brand communications of strategy and tactics to internal and external audiences (field commercial teams). Responsibilities range from conducting or overseeing market assessments, competitive strategy, and working in close partnership with R&D and Commercial Operations to ensure the pork and poultry portfolio development is best in class and competitively position for long-term growth. Partner with Technical Services to develop product opportunities and assessments by providing customer focused input or insight to enhance the value of products and services. Additionally, the US Pork & Poultry biological and bio-device business will be a lead market for pork and poultry markets around the world. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead a team of biological and bio-device marketing experts for Zoetis pork and poultry * Hire, train, develop and provide growth opportunities to direct reports * Directs all aspects of biological and bio-device marketing as related to assigned portfolio including product positioning, brand strategy, pricing, and budgeting * Lead the partnership with Veterinary and Technical Operations and VMRD (Veterinary Research and Development) and Global Bio-Devices to develop the biologicals and bio-devices lifecycle including new products and market opportunities for the franchises * Manages marketing communications/metrics and builds brand equity for the pork and poultry portfolio * Maintains contact with key customers and industry influencers, in coordination with commercial operations * Works with Commercial Operations and Director of Pork and Poultry marketing to develop and execute the marketing plan to achieve Zoetis financial goals for the assigned product line in the short, medium, and long term * Coordinates with other internal and external Marketers to find synergies which maximize the total return to Zoetis * Actively work with multiple internal stakeholders (Technical Services, Sales, Outcomes Research, Communications, Business Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Learning & Development, Operations and Manufacturing) and external vendors to drive strong market growth. * Works with team to effectively work with demand planning and GMS (Global Manufacturing and Supply) to ensure product forecast and supply * Works with team to design/execute field trials in partnership with Outcomes Research team on studies related to product performance * Works with team to coordinates product line market research (e.g. customer satisfaction, competition, industry trends) * Tracks and analyses competitive product activity * Field Force Training lead for pork and poultry biological and devices * Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * 10+ years of marketing, marketing communications, market research, strategy consulting, or equivalent academic/industry experience required * Proven record of effective people leadership and staff development * Bachelor”s degree with a concentration in Business or relevant major. MBA or DVM preferred. * Highly responsive and results oriented. Strategically agile and energized by a fast moving environment. * Proven ability in handling and effectively prioritizing multiple projects while maintaining a positive attitude. * Excellent understanding of science-based marketing and the marketing process. * Proven ability to develop and deliver best in class integrated marketing plans and programs to address a dynamic market. * Ability to favorably influence people without direct authority.
