The main area of emphasis will be immune related phenomena such as innate immune training, tolerance induction, and the role of epigenetics in inflammatory diseases.The postdoc will develop methods for chromatin isolation and targeted mass spectrometry using e.g. locus, genomic DNA pulldown approaches.The candidate should have experience in immune cell isolation, monocyte differentiation, functional assays, and immuno-phenotyping. The candidate should also have a strong desire to collaborate with multiple functions including the mass spectrometry and biology teams to develop the ChIP-MS methodsThe successful candidate should have completed a PhD in immunology or cell biology with an emphasis on epigenetics. In addition, the candidate should have been exposed to mass spectrometry based proteomics. The candidate should have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Define, build, and execute appropriate proteomic study designs to identify putative epigenetic regulation sites. * Work closely with biology team to design proper plans to avoid pre-analytical artifacts during sample collection and processing. * Work closely with bioinformatics to identify key loci to examine epigenetic regulation. * Present results to scientific teams and management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* Educational background: PhD (Biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, immunology, or related field)* Strong analytical experience in top down and bottom up proteomics.* Familiar with the operation of Sciex triple quadrupole, Thermo Q-Exactive series, Waters triple quadrupole and QTOF mass spectrometers* Experienced with relative and absolute quantification proteomic workflows (TMT, SILAC, SRM, PRM, label-free, etc)* Familiarity with proteomic and LC-MS software (Skyline, MaxQuant, BioPharma Finder, Analyst, MassLynx, Xcalibur, TraceFinder, BLAST, alignment tools, etc)* Self-starter, able to prioritize work and work efficiently with minimal supervision* Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills* Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookADDITIONAL INFORMATION:* Work environment: The person filling this position will work predominantly in a laboratory setting.
