Sunrise?FS has?about 200?employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 2,500 customers.?The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, grain, tires, irrigation, and retail. Sunrise?FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.?PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Under the direction of Agronomy Marketing Manager, co-develops and coordinates the precision agronomy programs and associated activities by performing the following duties.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Use Precision Agronomy programs with grower?s data to enhance recommendations and have a positive impact on customers ROI.?Stay abreast of the latest agronomy technology and work with the agronomy marketing manager to develop new programs that establish Sunrise FS as the technology leader.?Understand, Explain and Train Crop Specialists and Growers on the value of good agronomic decisions. Includes soil and plant fertility, crop protection, seed growth and development.?Assists Crop Specialists with ordering grid soil sampling, retrieving data and creating VRT N, P, K and Lime Rx. Assists growers and crop specialists in creating VR Seeding Rx.?Work with Valley Irrigation and Crop Specialist teammates to create enhanced value for Sunrise Agronomy department and Sunrise Valley irrigation department.?Service and Sell RTK and equipment and services.?Lead Agronomy Trials. Organize protocols, assist with trial implementation as needed and collect/manage/report data from trials.?Understand and work with tissue testing apps and recommendations. Lead and Direct N-Watch Sampling?Provides the information link between precision technologies and member cooperative personnel and serves as the company's contact person on all matters relating to precision farming.? Responsible for public and community relations activities as assigned.?Make targeted sales calls with and without crop specialists. Present to crop specialists at sales meetings and growers at customer meeting.?Maintains appropriate records, handles administrative tasks, prepares and submits time management reports, etc. and attends meetings as requested.??OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Performs other duties as assigned.??REQUIREMENTS?????? Education and Experience?Normally requires a college degree in agriculture, marketing, or other business related discipline and 2 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent to demonstrate the ability to coordinate precision farming programs and associated activities.??????
