Our client is a national investment manager of agricultural real estate, direct farming and processing operations; overseeing nearly 220k acres of prime domestic farmland in major agricultural regions, including California, the Midwest, Southeast, and the Louisiana Delta region.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides strategic vision, leadership and management for strategy development and execution to achieve the business and profit objectives consistent with the strategic plan and annual operating budget.Oversees company operations to insure production efficiency, service, product quality, and cost-effective management of resources and safety.Oversees management of financial performance through rigorous financial planning and budgeting, driving revenue growth and controlling costs, and prioritizing between strategic and financial opportunities.?Provide leadership, direction, support and development for staff and ensure the ability to attract and retain qualified staff at all levels.? Ensures that each business unit has strong leadership and all staff are developed, challenged, regularly appraised, counseled when necessary, and given all information, training and resources to successfully perform their duties and prepare for their future responsibilities.Deliver successful financial performance and growth that strengthens the organization over time by monitoring and controlling budgets and performance, setting accurate financial priorities and goals and adhering to sound financial controls and prudent risk management.Provides project management leadership and input for financial modeling for new business enterprises and value-add projects as well as capital improvements.?Assesses and guides the organizational structure against current and future strategy, steering the talent, resources and processes to ensure success of the organization?s initiatives.Oversees preparation and presents monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc management reports to the Management Committee. Provides variance explanations and highlights opportunities and risks.??Provides analysis and feedback on financial performance and key performance measures.Establish and maintain open communication with all staff, management, external and internal customers and suppliers, and the local community; identify potential problems and initiate continual improvement.Serves as a role model of the culture by consistently demonstrating the corporate values to all staff.? Supports and promotes team spirit and development. Contributes toward effective team problem solving with staff, peers, and management.Exercises an appropriate level of courtesy, tact, and professional communications and confidentiality in dealing with others.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.? Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The ideal candidate will have:A bachelor?s degree or higher in business or related discipline and 15 years of solid and deep production agribusiness experience.A strategic thinker with the knowledge, skills, experience and judgment to evaluate the existing and ongoing utilization/performance of portfolio assets/resources and make recommendations for related improvements, corrective actions and redeployments, and develop specific business plans to drive the sustainable performance, growth and value enhancement of the assets.An independent and innovative self-starter with a proven record of delivering outstanding financial returns and operational performance through leadership and process/resource management.A proven leader recognized for recruiting, retaining and managing a team of professional staff in the context of agricultural operations focused on investor returns; sustaining, growing and conserving/enhancing portfolio assets; and building the enterprise.The talent, judgment and flexibility to identify, recognize and capitalize on asset acquisition and enterprise expansion opportunities to extend existing value consistent with the parent?s strategy.Excellent quantitative analysis skills to support/inform decision-making processes, with an understanding of the fundamentals of commodity programs.Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills characterized by a collaborative, confident, open and transparent style.A high level of integrity, flexibility, tenacity, and physical/intellectual energy, and a robust entrepreneurial spirit.? Ability to operate and influence in a complex, fast-paced environment with respect to internal and external stakeholders.
