CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Refined Fuels group. We are looking for a Pricing Analyst to be accountable for daily price positions via multiple distribution channels in order to maximize sales and petroleum margins by implementing refined fuels, ethanol, and bio-fuels pricing policies and strategies. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
This position will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think and act proactively. You will: Manage the daily product pricing of Branded Refined Fuels including ethanol and bio-diesel blends.Gather and analyze competitive positioning through various sources including Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), Data Transmission Network (DTN), market contracts and sales.Become an instrumental part in development and deployment of a state-of-the-art pricing system and analytic tool as well as support a forthcoming SAP conversion.Conduct research and build analytics required to support and measure the effectiveness of price strategies.Collaborate with the Refined Fuels team and provide consistent communication to various stakeholders.Run ad hoc analysis of specific market anomalies.Administer wholesale programs including Temporary Price Allowances based on relative price position to maximize volume and margin, as well as Terminal Incentives for maximizing economics and commercial bids.
Recommend changes to systems and processes to build efficiencies and market alignment. Proactively recognize and manage exceptions and breaches versus defined pricing strategies.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree3 plus years of refined fuels, marketing, sales or pricing experience to include:Basic market and pricing knowledgeUnderstanding of Nymex and basis facets of rack pricingPreferred Qualifications: (desired)Bachelor?s degree in an Economics or Data/Analytics related study
