DescriptionCorteva Agriscience,Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has anexciting opportunity Process Chemistry LabTechnician in Indianapolis, IN.The Process Chemistry Lab Technician is responsible for assisting chemists inperforming research, producing final products and intermediates as well asobserving/recording data for chemical products and processes. The role will beprimarily focused on working in the laboratory, setting up and maintaininglaboratory equipment and instruments, conducting experiments and monitoringreaction processes. Primary responsibilities, but not limited to:Set-up, build and maintain laboratory equipment andinstruments.Assist scientists and engineers in conducting chemicalexperiments as well as developing and producing active ingredients andprocesses.Perform tests and analyze active ingredients to make surethat they meet standards and specifications.Monitor chemical processes.Observe and conduct chemical and physical experiments,tests and analyses.Prepare reports, charts and graphs.Work under the supervision of chemists or chemicalengineers.Adjust processing equipment to improve process efficiencyand output.Adjust processing equipment to improve process efficiencyand output.Collect samples from production batches and test forimpurities and defects.Candidates should have general knowledge of various laboratorytechniques. QualificationsEducation:A minimum of an Associates degree in Chemistry orEngineering and/or 4+ years relevant experience. A Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a similarfield is preferred. Required Qualifications: A minimum of 2-3 years work experience in a chemistry labsettingWilling to continually learn and adhere to all safetystandardsAbility to comprehend knowledge of process equipment, analyticalsystems as well as related softwareProficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word andExcel and ability to learn new systems quickly.Comfortable working with glassware and metal systemsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Good interpersonal skills. Able to work within an empowered team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a process chemistry laboratory wouldbe preferred.Hands-on experience with a variety of syntheticchemistry laboratory and analytical instruments.Experience with compression fittings used for high pressureapplicationsExperience with Chromatography Data Systems, LabInformation Management Systems and other tools such as an electronic logbook.A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplishmultiple tasks.#LI-DC1Apply for this job.
