Mauldin, SCWhere the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to support capital projects with the design, documentation and programming needed to complete the automation aspects of capital projects. In this role, you will support control system upkeep and changes as needed by production. As a member of the Maintenance and Engineering Team, you will interface with most departments including Project Engineering, Production, Operations and Maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your ability to read loop sheets, electrical interconnect drawings, ladder logic drawings, equipment specifications, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID?s). You will become familiar with chemical processes in the plant and BASF Technical Standards and become proficient at DeltaV configuration and batch programming. Formula for Success? Leveraging your education in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering combined with your experience in a registered apprenticeship in an instrumentation, measurement and control, electronics, electrical, and/or mechanical program, academic setting, or related on-the-job experience, you will assist with capital projects containing control elements, such as developing/Updating AS-i and Fieldbus network drawings and loop sheets for instrumentation, configuring new I/O into the DCS hardware, developing graphics for new plant equipment, valves, instruments and piping, and developing modules, sequences and recipes as needed for new equipment and processes.? Using your knowledge of Fieldbus, ASibus, and Profibus communication protocols and installation guidelines, you will work with contractors on installation and checkout of newly installed equipment.? Successfully engaging outside the organization, you will develop scopes and work with vendors and contractors as needed on larger projects that require extensive programming changes.? Your strong organizational skills will be essential as you maintain the PI system database and graphics with changes from capital projects.? Your keen attention to detail will be vital as you attend design meetings, scheduling meetings, safety reviews, MOCs etc. for the project.? Demonstrating your strong troubleshooting and programming skills (Allen Bradley experience preferred), you will assist production and other plant personnel with any programming necessary to complete action items generated from MOCs, PHAs, incident investigations and audit findings.? Working safely with minimal supervision, you will follow BASF?s safety rules and good housekeeping practices and promote your observance in the performance of job duties.
