As a process engineer you will be responsible for developing, configuring, optimizing and materials manufacturing and handling processes to minimize processing yield loss and maximize production efficiency. The successful candidate should also be able to utilize optical and laser characterization technology to characterize foreign materials in the product streams and eliminate them to improve product quality. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering capital projects and developing process validation programs. Responsibilities: Develop, configure and optimize materials manufacturing and handling processes to minimize yield lossDevelop procedures and solutions to improve run ratesAssess processes, develop measuring systems and interpret dataUtilize optical and laser technology to precisely characterize foreign materials in product streamDesign, run, test, and upgrade equipment, systems, and processesDevelop process validation programsOversee engineering capital projects The ideal candidate for this hands-on position will be highly motivated, self-directed and results driven. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, time management and problem-solving skills. Must be a team player, show initiative and be able to interact professionally and effectively with all levels. Required Skills and knowledgeFour-year Bachelor s degree with a focus in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science and engineering or other related engineering fields.Knowledge of automation, electrical circuits, PLC RSlogix 5000 programming preferred engineering preferred.Knowledge of relational databases systems such as SQL and Access is a plus.Experience with AUTOCAD or Solidworks is a plus.Lean or Six Sigma manufacturing experience especially in continuous improvement, elimination of waste, S, and value stream mapping.Self-motivated must demonstrate leadership, teamwork, collaboration, creativity and innovation.Hands on activity is required. Education RequirementsBachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform key responsibilities of this position.
