Incumbent will conceive, plan, oversee, and execute cross functional projects. Incumbent will develop into a subject matter expert (SME) for the processes and/or equipment in the assigned area(s).
Job Responsibilities: This job description reflects assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. * Conduct component qualifications for Abaxis products, including but not limited to: parts/assemblies for rotor products, reagent beads, instruments, lateral flow products, and product packaging materials and shipping processes. * Develop and maintain data structures required to support manufacturing operations, including development of reporting tools as appropriate. * Analyze complex project results and lead effective, data-driven, results/decisions-oriented meetings for project stakeholder teams. * Prepare GMP-robust risk assessments and associated experimental test plans. Prepare and execute all aspects of validation protocols; document all results in approved validation summary reports. * Develop project plans and schedules, and partner effectively with technical stakeholders (Automation Engineering, R&D), the customer (Manufacturing and Materials) and QA to drive timely project progress. * Establish/revise manufacturing work instructions, technical drawings, and material specifications. * Provide engineering support for daily rotor manufacturing operations – e.g., troubleshooting, problem resolution, product investigations in support of MRB dispositions.
Education and Experience:B.S. Engineering (Biomedical, Chemical, Mechanical, or equivalent) is required. Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a Quality System regulated, medical-device manufacturing environment is also required.
