We currently have a 1 position available on Shift-C (Nights) at the Idaho Plant – Caldwell, ID.
SUMMARY This position exists to ensure product quality and production levels are achieved and sustained for the processing equipment in the assigned area. This includes providing electronic and mechanical maintenance, operation, sanitation, troubleshooting and repair of all processing equipment in the Ingredient Room, Soap Room and the Shred Line. This position may also assist with the operation, electronic and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of other equipment throughout the facility. RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.* Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs: – Works within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others. – Ensures proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools.* May assist with training other plant personnel.* Provides troubleshooting, repair and support on the equipment, instrumentation systems and supporting equipment including most mechanical, some electrical and some electronic aspects.* Inspects components of the equipment and performs the preventative maintenance procedures.* Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs. This includes operating equipment to verify operational efficiency.* Documents, monitors, maintains, and assists with reporting of shift events, logging Preventive Maintenance data and assists with work planning utilizing information systems and productivity software.* Utilizes computer and computer programs to communicate, document, and track shift information and ensures that all documents and reports are completed accurately in a timely and efficient manner.* Ensures set up for upcoming production runs and changeovers according to the production schedule.* Enters work orders into JDE, performs work on work orders, approves and requisitions parts in JDE. Follows-up on work orders and close work orders out.* Ensures that additional accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards.* Operates and monitors processing equipment in the Ingredient Room, within Processing Zone 5.* Ensures proper and timely draining, re-filling and charging of the additive and batter systems.* Identifies and maintains levels of ingredients in each hopper based on product requirements.* Conducts analysis of ingredients throughout the shift.* Measures and interprets data.* Operates and monitors processing equipment along the Shred Line from blanching to the shred tunnel exit, Line 50 – Processing Zone 10.* Enters line settings, material usage, sampling information and other data into the computer information system.* Must become qualified in 1, 2 and 3 within eighteen (18) months of employment in this position.* Works as relief for 1, 2 or 3 as needed.* Conducts sampling to ensure that the line is in grade and sanitary.* Monitors area in order to avoid cross contamination.* Performs proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of the equipment and systems. REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Two years of relevant experience in industry manufacturing or technical military assignment preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Must be able to work around and consume products containing soy, wheat, and dairy. There are three work areas for this position: 1. Ingredient Room, 2. Chemical Management, and 3. Shred Line Processing.
