POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Improvement of PPV, Setting of Standard Cost, and the budget for his/her area of managed spend * Will address chronic or acute supply issues with its vendors * Works with Category Managers to support the execution of projects which affect the Site * Prepares and runs RFPs/competitive bids, reviews proposals, negotiates prices and terms, and qualifies suppliers. * Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying materials and to drive savings opportunities. * Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers” operations to determine factors that impact pricing, quality, and supply performance. *
Works with supplier base and internal customers to resolve issues related to quality, process performance, supply, and project management. * Updates and maintains supplier information in corporate change management system in accordance with regulatory standards * Will conduct contract negotiations * Supports P2P process if linked to procurement, identifying repeat issues and assisting in the improvement of the overall P2P process as it affects the Site * Observe and ensure the compliance to GSS policies and procedures * Demonstrated ability to work collectively with the Strategic Sourcing network, other enabling functions, and other manufacturing. Leverages global purchasing power to drive savings projects. * Serves as the external liaison to suppliers. QUALIFICATIONS: * BA/BS with at least 2 years of experience * A good understanding of the Manufacturing environment / experience of working closely with and in Manufacturing sites * An understanding of GMP and the Quality standards required in a Pharmaceuticals business * Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude * Some relevant supplier or procurement experience i.e. experience of supplier management and achieving measurable benefits. * Some project management skills and results oriented. Ability to get things done by working with/through others * Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills. * Strong negotiation management experience preferred * Numerate, used to working in Excel, with an analytical skillset capable of both identifying and quantifying cost savings * SAP and/or Ariba Procurement system experience strongly preferred Position is mostly office work with filing and other light activities as necessary.
