Produce Sales Manager Leading grower/shipper in GA has a great career opportunity for an experienced, successful Produce Sales Manager who can relocate. Three years'' previous experience in produce sales to retailers and wholesalers in Eastern U.S. is a must, as is a bachelor''s degree. Generous compensation package, commission and excellent benefits. The client will consider covering relocation expenses for an outstanding performer. Sales and leadership skills, a thorough knowledge of produce, network of contacts in retail and wholesale produce are a must. Candidates with customers in the Northeast a real plus. Experience with sweet onions, sweet potatoes, and vegetables very much a plus. Job Summary This person communicates with, sells to, and manages customer accounts with the goal of increasing the sales of the client’s products. Sales will be primarily focused on fresh onions and the Vidalia Brands condiment line. Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to) Maintains effective, professional rapport with current and prospective customers through sales presentations, personal meetings, emails, and phone calls. Collaborates with the Sr. Sales Manager and/or the Sales Director to create fair and equitable pricing of products to satisfy customer needs and company initiatives. Performs weekly analysis of customer demand to projection, market pricing, and competition Responsible for creating and managing to a sales forecast by customer on a weekly basis and relaying any changes to Director/Sr Sales manager Enters sales orders correctly and in a timely manner. Helps develop and adheres to the Sales budget as finalized by the Director of Sales. Contracts freight directly to ensure timely delivery of products. Monitors A/R and works with customers to achieve timely payment for products and services. Collaborates with Sales Assistant to complete trouble files 30 days from report Collaborates with other sales managers to achieve the goals of the sales team and company. Supports other Sales Managers when they are traveling or on vacation by performing their minimum daily tasks. Attends industry trade shows, conferences and meetings as necessary. Continues to learn about the profession (sales) and products to project “expert” status in the industry. Collaborates with the Sr. Sales Manager and the Sales Director on new product development and improvement of current products.
