Job Description:Track new products as well as develop, lead and implement the strategy for product introduction; responsible for key tasks in the product development process including.a. Establish Product Launch Roadmap with Sales and Portfolio Management; meet goals for deliverables to keep introductions on schedule based on priorityb. Elite-Multi location Breeder Trials Evaluation & Decisionsc. Material creation in SAP and system maintenanced. Production Research, PRT2 Creation and introduction decisionse. Seed enhancement/tech. confirmation for salesf. Advanced Grower & Partner Distributor Trials; Creation & Executiong. New Product Training: Sales, Marketing & Tech Teamsh. Production Authorization Form (PAF)i. Allowable Phenotypic Variation (APV)j. New Variety Database Input for Marketingk. Final Advancement-Introduction proposal in accordance with timelines & requirements set by Portfolio and Sales Mgmt.Provide input to Breeders and Portfolio Management on breeding goals for crops managed.Manage necessary aspects of trialing to ensure that appropriate and timely decisions are made on product introductions/product segments; read trials and make advancement and introduction decisions with breeders to achieve product line goals. Provide input to Assortment Manager for drops, subs, and QNs as requested.Provide input for new product pricing & forecasting to Portfolio and Sales Management. Review production releases with Production department as requested. Manage special projects as assigned.Job Requirements:Relevant experience in a product management, sales, growing, or production scheduling and trialing role. Ability to understand strengths and weaknesses of products at PanAmerican Seed and competitor products in relevant crops. Willingness to travel both domestic and international, up to 30% of time, fluctuating seasonally. Ability to evaluate trials in greenhouse and field locations for long periods of time in all seasons at research trial sites globally as well as at grower customer/collaborators.Strong communication, negotiation and coordinating skills along with the ability to work well with a wide variety of people. English speaking required; Spanish, Dutch, or Chinese speaking beneficial. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office; SAP knowledge beneficial.Apply for this job.
