SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, supervises and provides leadership to achieve the Division s short-range and long-range business development objectives related to commercially branded products as they relate to overall company strategy. Must primarily perform office or non-manual work directly related to management policies or general business operations. Also, must exercise independent choice and judgment in matters of consequence 50% or more of the time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Promotes the sale of HPG Branded Products/services in the Division. Trains and coaches sales force and management team in HPG Branded product line to enable the salespeople and management team to confidently market the HPG Branded. Trains personnel that are added to the sales force. Travels with salespeople to make joint calls on present or potential customers. Conducts or assists salespersons in conducting sales meeting with customers or potential customers within the division on HPG Branded products. Works with basic suppliers and academia to educate and train them about HPG Branded products and how they will work with or enhance their products. Attends trade shows to assist the salespeople with booths that we may have at the show. Provides input for advertising HPG Branded products and working up literature that is needed to promote proprietary products. Develops sales promotion programs or innovative ideas that will help increase sales and profits on HPG Branded products within our division. Operates within the restraints of the budget in regard to pricing, sales strategy, market development, product promotion, volume increases, and expenses. Implements and coordinates new product introductions. Works with Area Manager in establishing sales and profit goals for each branch and salesperson within the division. Assists Area Manager in evaluating the performance of each salesperson in regard to proprietary products. Suggests label change recommendations. Provides input for the production of product to the manufacturing division to insure an adequate supply of product to the divisions. Monitors the sales goals and making available that information to management. Maintains inventory levels consistent with management s requirements. Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Reliable and regular attendance is expected. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field and three years experience in agri-chemical business or a minimum of 8 years of progressive, advanced experience in the agri-chemical business.
