Come grow with us!General Purpose and Scope of Position:?The Planner, as a part of the supply chain and operations team, is responsible for overseeing the planning and inventory management functions necessary to optimize business operations for a diverse group of agricultural processing, distribution, and sales outlets.Exact location is negotiable.?Key Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of seasonal retail operationsKnow basic product type and crop use (herbicide, fungicide, traits, N, P, K)Ability to articulate and drive company strategyAbility to develop and implement efficient procedures and processesAbility to influence with formal and informal authorityAbility to execute across diverse businessesStrong market analysis, statistical and quantitative skillsAbility to plan and organizeStrong team orientationWillingness and ability to be a constructive agent of changeKey Personal Attributes:BS in Business, statistics or related discipline, or 5 plus years of experience in business process management, planning and/or operationsSuperior project management skillsOutstanding communication skillsStrong background in supply and/or demand planningSpecific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:Lead and drive the sales forecasting process with areas, branches and strategyAdjust and refine forecasting software parameters to optimize planning resultsUnderstand and utilize company, supply, and market strategies when developing and executing product supply and purchasing plansCoordinate, document and communicate the Purchase Plan (quantity, timing, location); monitor and adjustRe-balance inventories as needed to meet customer and market needsSupport the correctness of product and organization hierarchyCoordinate efficient use of storage capacityCollaborate with product Strategy Leads to understand, support & maintain Supplier relations and alignmentCommunicate/Coordinate product supply allocations in collaboration with Strategy and Area LeadsSupport rebate collection and allocation to branchesConduct analysis of data in support of pre-buys and early order programsManage participation of supplier return and swap programsEducate, train and support areas and branches on supply chain processes and systemsAssist as needed around the plantCompensation and Benefits:Competitive salary (to be determined based on experience and other factors)Comprehensive employee health and retirement benefit offerings??COMPANY CULTURE :Wilbur-Ellis is a company you can be proud to call your employerWilbur-Ellis markets and distributes agricultural products, animal feed and specialty chemicals and food ingredients.
