Position is to ensure accurate scheduling of carriers and freight containers for arrival, loading, and deliveries to meet both domestic and global customers demands and to provide critical shipping documentation for all modes of transportation. Incumbent will perform receiving activities for all supply chain materials required for supporting the sites manufacturing needs. Must effectively communicate schedules and instructions and will play a key role in the network operations between the freight carriers, manufacturing personnel and the companys Customer Service and Logistics operations. This position will also provide back-up coverage for site Vendor Scheduler role.
Maintain accurate and timely receipts in SAP for all inbound supply chain materials
Maintain the product shipping plans in SAP
Implement innovative ways of working to help reduce costs
Work closely with the warehouse supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction
Support and champion all corporate initiatives for the area of responsibility
Ensure all shipping document information is accurate for all modes of transportation to meet regulatory compliance
Maintain accurate documentation to ensure C-TPAT, DOT, FAA and TSA compliance
Maintain personal training record compliance

Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Minimum high school graduate or GED required
Ability to multi task and remain focused on business needs of site while effectively managing scheduling changes
Timeliness of tasks required
Effective verbal communication skills
Excel and other computer programs necessary for scheduling and control
Dealing with people and negotiating skills
Knowledge of DOT, IATA, and IMDG transportation requirements for domestic and international shipments
At least 3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving or logistics department with a preference given to those with experience working in a chemical environment
Previous SAP experience preferred
Experience with entering accurate data in all forms of shipping documents to meet regulatory compliance
Very good communications with internal and external customers including carriers and others
