Product Specialist – Southeast
Product Specialist Southeast (KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, FL) A Great Plains Ag Product Specialist focuses on the equipment that Great Plains builds and its proper field operation. This position is the direct connection for the Territory Managers and dealer personnel to the Service Department and Engineering. It is also the Product Specialist’s responsibility to be able to relay the features & benefits of our “Systems” approach to the dealers and customers. This area includes Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. This is a field based job and the candidate should reside near Atlanta, GA to be located centrally in the territory. Responsibilities:Assisting TM and dealers with trouble-shooting units in field. (Phone and/or actual trip)Conducting New Product Training:Startup field adjustmentsDiagnostic tool trainingActing as liaison between field; Sales & Marketing; Service & Engineering for field problem fixes; product enhancements; and new product developmentProviding Territory Service Training of Territory Managers and Dealer service personnelConducting “Owner Workshops” (i.e. drill owner workshops) that provides information on proper use and adjustments of equipmentAssisting Sales/Marketing with competitive product comparisonsAttending Gold Medallion Sales and Service Training with active role in eachAssisting with set-up and participation in farm shows, grower meetings, and field demonstrationsAssisting with approved test plots and proper operation of plot machinesAssisting dealers with Warranty issues:Call on Gold Medallion dealers quarterlyReview Service BulletinsAssisting Service Manager with design and implementation of service bulletinsAssisting Sales & Marketing with development of videos, DVD’s, CD’s, photos, and catalogs Qualifications:Familiar with agricultural cropping practicesWillingness to learn and communicate all aspects of the field operation of all Great Plains ProductsHave some general hand toolsPossess a CDL or ability to pass the CDL testBe available for limited international travelReside in their designated area of responsibility Benefits:Mileage & Travel ExpensesExcellent health and accident insurance401K with matching fundsLife insuranceDental insurance Compensation:Base salary plus bonus plan EOEApply for this job.
