Production and Animal Care Supervisor

The Production and Animal Care Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the production area and animal care staff.Reports to:? President and COO.? Interacts and takes direction from the Attending Veterinarian.?Essential Functions:Supervise production and animal care staff, give direction and coaching to achieve company goals.Supervise production operations in a regulated medical environment to meet or exceed production goals while maintaining quality standards.Monitor and control production schedules and quality.Ensure that employees within the team are sufficiently trained and flexible to meet the varying requirement of the business.Assure that Health and Safety procedures are adhered to by the team.? Foster an environment where safety matters for both the staff and our animals.Maintain open and cooperative relationships to promote strong teamwork and cooperation across the company.Support and lead continuous improvement efforts.Audit in process procedures for compliance to work instructions.Assist with internal and external audits.Manage staff scheduling, to include review and approval of time sheets.Responsible for timely performance reviews of team membersInterview and hire new employees.All other duties as assigned.?Education & Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience in management or supervision.Associates or Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science or BiologyMinimum 3 years experience in a commercial farm setting?Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent Communications skills both oral and written.Working knowledge of GMP and applicable regulatory standards.Self-motivatedCommitment to a learning environment and continuous improvementExcellent leadership skillsTeam OrientedApply for this job.
