Location :Kearny NJCity :KearnyState :New Jersey (US-NJ)Country :United States (US)Requisition Number :3745Job Title: Packaging lines Relief Production AssociateSwing/Rotating ShiftShift time: Any of the normally scheduled 3 shifts. (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 3:00PM to 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM). Management will give as much notice as possible when the need arises to change shifts to fill production needs. In all instances, a rest period of at least 10 hours will be allowed prior to reporting to work after a shift change (for example, if an employee works until 7 AM, then the employee will not be held accountable to reporting back to work until 5 PM that same day). All efforts will be made to make shift changes over the weekend but due to production needs, that may not always be possibleMajor responsibility: Provide coverage for the liquid oil line associates, margarine line (s) associates, cube shortening line associates as well as tote/drum line associates to the level that the relief operator has been trained and qualified to do so.Responsible for safe, efficient, and productive operation of job assignments.Ability to read and understand the English language and able to perform mathematical equations.Ability to function within a team oriented/team controlled and empowered environment.Must be multi-tasked oriented.Essential functions as Liquid Line Production AssociateResponsible for the following scheduled job duties including but not limited to;The operation of the filler, capper, label applicators, lot coders, heat induction sealer, stretch wrapper and palletizing equipment as well as associated line and equipment changes to extent that the individual has been trained and formerly qualified onAccountable for correctly following the packaging schedule, proper lot coding and label application to extent that the individual has been trained and formerly qualified onResponsible for hourly weight, metal detector, and sealing checks as well documentation to extent that the individual has been trained and formerly qualified onOperate the line in a manner to maximize efficiencyEssential functions as Forklift Operator for all linesResponsible for the following scheduled job duties including but not limited to;The safe introduction and removal of packaged materials from the packaging lineHourly checks (at a minimum) for proper lot coding, label application, and seal checks (as well as documentation) as applicable to the positionSafe and efficient operation of the stretch wrapper as applicable to the positionProper storage of finished productsCompletion of partial pallets of finished product from the warehouse by removing product from the packaging line to make full palletsLoading and unloading of trailers as neededResponsible for working with the line operator to perform productive and efficient product/equipment/label changes and assist with hourly documented checks such as metal detector checks and weight checks as applicable to the position.Accountable for safe operation of the forklift as per Bunge North America and any Federal Government proceduresBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
