We work hard and operate as one team. The North America Supply Chain Vegetable Organization at Monsanto has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Coordinator. This position is responsible for training and managing for all data captured in FIDO or SAP related to NAFTA production activities for the assigned production area. The incumbent will serve as interface for production area to address system issues related to production and grower contract activities in SAP/FIDO or other systems. When requested, assists in identifying, leading and driving innovation of new technologies to improve and / or streamline collection and reporting of production data. Tracks and reports production data and metrics. The position is based in Nampa, ID. Responsibilities: Safety and ComplianceESH ??? Promotes an environment of Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) and ensures all Monsanto ESH requirements are met fully executed and documented with the goal of ???zero??? recordable incidents. Works with each production area to effectively capture and report safety data.Human Rights and Compliance ??? Adheres to company FCPA, Business Conduct and Human Rights policies. Serves as support for the Human Rights data base and related tracking requirements. May serve to conduct Human Rights audits. Ensures federal, state and local compliance requirements are met, documented and reported as required.Information Reporting ??? Summarizes and reports data related to ESH, Human Rights and compliance reporting. Production SupportProduction Plans – Monitor production plans from Global Production Planner release through harvest for assigned production area within the region. Monitors area outline agreements (AOA???s), production contracting process for timely and complete information and communicates with Regional Production Coordinator and Systems Lead and Area Production Managers. Follows up and supports timely acceptance of planned orders and metrics.In-Season activities ??? Works with area production managers to ensure all productions activities are monitored and data reporting is timely for the grower contact process, stock seed inventory and usage, field production activities, crop estimates, crop visits, crop harvest and receiving, quality results monitoring and grower payments processes are completed in a timely manner.Grower payments ??? Monitors timely preparation and finalization of grower contracts. Addresses any lingering issues with the Area Production Manager, Planning, Inventory Management or Quality Assurance in a transparent manner. Maintain tracking metrics and reports results as directed.Area Analysis ??? Ensures issues and opportunities for improvement are identified from area analysis meetings and documented in the issues log. Monitors closure status of each project and follows up with area manager to receive updates, finalization and project closure.Reporting and Metrics ??? Monitors, analyzes production data to ensure timely data and transparent information. Analyzes production data and prepares required weekly or monthly reports in a metric format. Understands and is proficient in the Production Dashboard. Area InterfaceSAP / FIDO Systems ??? Area production support for managing production systems and processes related to production. Works with Regional Production Coordinator and Systems Lead Global to address system issues and improvements. Shares best practices with other Monsanto sites within the region and globallySystems Maintenance and Training ??? Serves as production area interface to represent region in system changes and improvements. Sees all inquiries are recorded in the active issues log and ensures that requested changes are adequately prioritized and addressed in a timely manner. Serves as lead trainer for assigned production area on SAP, FIDO and new software / hardware usage.Innovation and New Technologies ??? Serves as production area representative to lead and drive use of new software and hardware and / or technologies such as GPS and GIS to promote an innovative and continuous improvement of efficient or more effective production data.Team Site ??? When requested, supports maintenance of Production Team Site and ensures all files and pertinent data is accessible and easy to find. This includes ESH, Human Rights, Compliance, Production data, SAP / FIDO activities, Training and Production Metrics data. QMS and Continuous Improvement ??? Ensures all processes and procedures are properly documented and posted as part of our QMS system.QMS – Meets expectations related to ISO 9001-2001 certification.Standardized Processes and Procedures ??? Works with Production Coordinators at established sites to review, realign and maintain consistent procedures among production sites where applicableSkills Required:Ability to interact cross-functionally with various internal departments and external agencies to ensure Monsanto ESH and compliance requirements are met.Excellent communications skills including the capability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through oral or written communications.Ability to communicate with different reporting levels in multi-national and cultural organization as an individual or a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced global and multi-cultural vegetable seed company.Decision making and problem solving skills. Capability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues.Challenging the status quo to improve processes and the way things are done. Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience:High School DiplomaExcellent human relation skills, effective oral and written communication skills .LEAN training and certification is required within 2 years of the position being filled but is highly desired at the time of hire. Must be able to write ISO documentation, obtain stakeholder approval of documents and conduct necessary training when competencies are appropriate.  PC proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access, Power Point) and ability to demonstrate computer skills in SAP, FIDO and SPOTFIRE. Desired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's degree1+ years of experience in an agriculture, manufacturing, operational and/or production setting.Demonstrated supervisory abilities.
