Learn more at www.adm.com.The typical career path for an ADM engineer begins in the position of production engineer, where new hires learn the real world of manufacturing?from facilities and processes to products and employees. Additional opportunities are available for electrical and controls engineers. Recent engineering graduates are assigned to a production unit, where they gain experience leading employees, troubleshooting equipment and managing through a variety of challenges. The first year begins with on-the-job training through observation and typically progresses to full responsibility for a team working rotating shifts. Early in their assignment, production engineers work in several different production units and are exposed to a number of members of management to experience various leadership styles. In the process, they gain an appreciation for keeping an eye on the ?big picture.? After being assigned to lead a work group of their own, production engineers have an opportunity to apply their own leadership approach with their employees and management to accomplish the work of the unit.Qualifications Pursuing a bachelor?s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or agricultural and biological engineeringGPA of 2.8 or greater is preferredThis position relates to those that desire ?hands-on? experience in a production setting*
