Production Manager #2554
The Production Manager is responsible for the management of the tolling and third-party manufacturing relationships. This individual has ownership of formulations and quality parameters, and coordinates with R&D team during formulation development and takes responsibility of the final recipe. The Production Manager reports to the Supply Chain Director.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Ensure timely production with zero quality problems.Negotiate and establish tolling agreements for the required servicesWork with toll manufacturing operations, spending at least 20% time at toll facilities.Assessment of Quality issues at customer locations.?Coordinates with suppliers for timely delivery of raw materials.Coordinates with 3rd party finished goods for quality and packaging.Closely works with R&D for recipe development and improvements.Optimize inventory levels for purchased supplies, technical and finished goods.Works closely with Supply chain manager for warehouse management.Monitors and puts specific SOP?s in place for reducing manufacturing variance.?Education and/or Experience??A Bachelor?s degree (B.S.) in chemistry or chemical engineering is required, with 6-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or R&D laboratory. Demonstrated track record of a continuous improvement methodology. Computer skills with expertise in Excel and other MS Office programs, as well as experience with SAP or similar system is also required.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There may be long periods of sitting or driving.Travel is required for this position, including via car, plane, and other modes of transportation.
