?Summary: This position reports to and works in close cooperation with the Fresh Production General Manager. This position is responsible to manage and develop the Peeling Department to ensure safe, efficient and effective operations and working environments.?Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Creates and cultivates a positive, team oriented, department to ensure employee safety, food safety, product quality and daily/weekly/overall production needs/goals are met. Works with other managers to improve the effectiveness of company-wide operations. This includes the following and other duties as assigned by the Fresh Production General Manager:Delegating responsibilities and communicating them effectively.Develop, implement and improve the production team through existing and new training.Ensure that the team is working safely. Working with HR, Safety Supervisor and the Production Team to develop and implement new policies and procedures to ensure and improve employee safety.Ensure that the department is adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety requirements. Work with QA and other departments as necessary to ensure and improve the GMP and Food Safety of the process.Works to ensure that the process is operating as efficient as possible. Looks for way to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.Communicates sanitation, operational and equipment needs to the various department managers as needed.?Competencies:?
