Production Manager

We”ve recently partnered with a growing food production company who is ready to hire a new Production Manager! This is a great opportunity to work for a growing company wtih a long history and an excellent reputation in the industry!The Production Manager is responsible for managing the entire process operation, including staffing and training, productivity, people development, quality and safety. This position is also responsible for the Food Safety and Food quality programs. Responsibilities: * Manages daily operations including the following: basic production scheduling, work assignments, employee supervision, counseling, employee safety and administration of company policies. * Prepares written performance evaluations and counsels” employees as needed. * Resolve any employee issues and documents disciplinary actions * Help cultivate the culture. * Perform plant walk-thru and communicates findings * Provides positive recognition to employees who exhibit good behavior * Maintains operation of blending, bulk receiving and material handling for the department. * Reviews formula recovery and proper rotation of ingredients. * Ensures and supports financial performance to CPU for the department/area as it pertains to labor productivity and staffing. Reviews daily yields, correct substitution of ingredients and daily labor tracking. * Responsible for monthly budget goals for the department. * Ensures quality of the product produced as it pertains to blending juice to correct spec following processing guides. Determines correct blend of juice using incoming specs in QAD and blending them to correct spec levels while maintaining lot rotations. * Conducts monthly safety meetings; eliminates potential safety hazards; follows-up on safety issues related to the department and coaching employees on safe behavior. Performs housekeeping audits per year as required and follows-up on progress of the findings.
