Production Operations Shift Leadperson, Des Moines, IA The Operations Leadperson has active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility.
The position works closely with the production employees and oversees the general production training for new employees. Sets the example for culture by exemplifying ADM principles. Understands and follows company policies and procedures pertinent to the role.
Job DescriptionActive, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility, responsible for shift performanceEnsure the production schedule is followed dailyIssue production batch ticketsWork with office personnel to ensure production process is complete before shippingHelp with trouble shooting issues with batches, yields, and bagging problemsHelp in production when neededMonitor the workplace for improvements and safety concernsResponsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completedResponsible for participating and managing record keeping, safety, quality and production related activitiesProvide feedback and direct observation of operator performanceOther responsibilities and tasks as assigned by managementMinimum Requirements Promotes the ADM Way and Core ValuesHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent3-5 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience, or proven proficiencyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to operate a forklift and tow motor safelyMust have proven proficiency in most aspects of the production/warehouse facilityLift up to 60 lbs. on a routine basisMust have a valid Iowa driver?s license This position offers a complete benefit package, including 401K/ESOP, pension, health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
