Production Operator 2
DuPont?s Nutrition & Health manufacturing site in Remington, Indiana has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Production Operator 1. As a Production Operator 1, you will monitor and operate the equipment in our packaging tower for our de-oiled lecithin production line in a 24/7/365 operation. This position will work between the hours of 5pm-5am on a fixed 2-2-3 schedule. Responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):Comply with all company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP?s, HACCP, Early Reporting of Pain, and AttendanceMonitor machinery and equipment to assure it is operating properly and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessaryRecognize atypical/incorrect conditions in the packing area and contact the LeadMaintain accurate written records or logs of all production/testingMaintain all necessary supplies for the packaging areaLift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists or fork-liftsManually insert liners into boxes and place them onto the conveying lineManually sample, label, and heat seal the finished packagePackaging equipment changeovers Fill ingredient hoppers and check ingredient flow ratesPerform product quality testingPerform in-line metal detection checksHousekeeping of the packaging towerVacation coverage of opposite shift when requiredOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications:The following are required:High school diploma or equivalentProficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and have the ability to learn new systems quicklyStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skillsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishMust be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, hardhats, and steel-toed shoesMust be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 poundsMust be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of timeMust be willing and able to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidaysThe following are preferred:Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environmentPrevious fork-lift experienceMechanical aptitude; experience troubleshooting equipment and machinesApply for this job.
