This is a unique and critical facility within Corteva, supplying hybrid corn seed to customers on the global market. We are looking for candidates who take initiative, love to learn, work hard and have stable work history. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year. You will be responsible for setting up and monitoring highly automated equipment for various processes such as harvest, treating, and packaging.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Harvest activities such as
bin sampling, receiving, drying and shelling.
Bagging, palletizing and
Field management activities
such as scouting and field maintenance
including forklift operation, collecting samples, pooling, etc.
Gathering data for future aid
in continuous improvement projects.
May perform preventative
maintenance and repairs.
Various other duties as
assigned by supervisor
The Princeton production facility location runs various production schedules during peak seasons, September ? March each year. This includes but is not limited to the following: 20/5 or 24/5 schedules based on the business demand. We utilize 2-4 teams running 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts. During the off season, the site ramps down to an 8-hour day shift schedule with occasional overtimes when needed. Qualifications:The following are required:High School diploma or GEDMust possess a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a Commercial Driver?s License (CDL) in the futureExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)Problem solving and troubleshooting skillsWilling and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periodsWilling and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditionsWilling and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive liftingWillingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaksThe following are preferred:Forklift experienceExperience with safety programsKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized WorkKnowledge of field equipmentGood verbal and interpersonal communication skillsTeamwork skillsWe are excited to announce that Corteva Agriscience? is the name of the new Agriculture Division of DowDuPont?.
