Our Woodland team grows, processes, packages, and ships hybrid sunflower seeds for our European and North American markets. This is a unique and critical facility in supplying sunflower seeds to farmers on the global market. Working with us expands way beyond typical widget manufacturing environments! You will be responsible for setting up and monitoring highly automated equipment for various processes such as harvest, conditioning, treating and packaging, warehousing and shipping.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Harvest activities such as preparation, receiving, drying, etc.Conditioning activities such as sizing, gravity operation, packaging, palletizing, etc.Return and rework activitiesField management activities such as planting, isolation, rouging, field maintenanceWarehousing activities including forklift operation, collecting samples, pooling, etc.Gathering data for future aid in continuous improvement projectsProvides production supportMay perform preventative maintenance and repairsVarious other duties as assigned by supervisorThe Woodland production facility location runs various production schedules during peak season, August through March each year. This includes but is not limited to the following:24/7 operations, running 8 or 12 hour shifts utilizing four teams24/6 operations, running 8 hour shifts utilizing three teamsDuring off-season, the site ramps down to an 8-hour day shift schedule with occasional overtime when neededQualifications:The following are required:High School Diploma or GEDExperience with computers and mobile devicesWilling and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodationWilling and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditionsWilling and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodationWillingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaksWillingness and ability to work shifts – Working 24/7 rotating schedule, September through March, and working a 2-shift rotating schedule as needed during other peak times.
