Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Production Scheduler (1805660) Houston, TX Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for the procurement process for raw materials and packaging items. In this role, you will develop production scheduling and document actual versus scheduled production. In addition, you will be responsible for the communication of production scheduling changes and performing cycle counts. You will interface with Customer Service and the Shipping Department to ensure customer requirements are satisfied. Additionally, you will provide backup for the Office Coordinator and/or Shift leadership during absences.Formula for Success · Leveraging your education and experience in a manufacturing environment in production scheduling, inventory, shipping & receiving and the use of MRP systems, you will develop the detailed schedule, assist in the activities of the production areas, coordinate changes in production scheduling and/or activities with Production Managers and Supervisors and lead people to ensure that finished goods are available to meet demand.· Utilizing your working knowledge of SAP, you will document, post, issue and create production documents and SAP production orders in the SAP system when needed.· Successfully engaging across the organization, you will serve as the liaison between Supply Chain, Quality Control, Production and Plant Manager.· Demonstrating your excellent organizational skills and willingness to participate as a team member, you will provide administrative support to include typing, filing, phone screening, mail processing, purchase of office supplies, processing employee records and forms, maintaining/assembling and sending out company literature, certifications, making travel, trade show, and meeting arrangements, processing site visitors, and taking general phone inquiries.· Your strong computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) will be a valued asset as you prepare purchase requisitions for supplies and services in the operation of the plant, process vendor invoices for payment/customer returns for credit, and process employee time tracking and maintain the data entry system.· Your unwavering commitment to safety will be evident as you follow all appropriate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and understand that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of BASF s principles. This includes reporting all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate managers. Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.· Relying on your previous experience in process safety, you will support applicable Process Safety programs through participation in compliance audits, capital project reviews, regulatory PHAs (revalidations, clean-sheets) and other hazard / risk assessment activities as required or assigned. You will ensure the on-time completion of Process Safety related mechanical integrity inspections as assigned and utilize Management of Change (MOC) to assure timely communication and training of process related changes to affected personnel. As required, you will participate in any process safety related incident investigations and completion of assigned action items in a timely manner.
