Support improvement in safety, health, environmental and housekeeping performanceEnsure subordinate 100% compliance of EHS requirements including PPE use, incident reporting, safe completion of life critical activities within department, process safety, food safety and quality standardsEnsure safe and efficient operation of the production departmentExecute production schedule and production orders effectively to meet customer requirementsResponsible for shift staffing, movement of operators between shifts, scheduling vacations, and filling planned outages. Monitors shift overtime.Support department goal achievement and production cost managementDrive continual improvements in work systems, processes and people development through daily and weekly goals, assigning and managing remedial actions for all adverse performanceCollaborate with others to troubleshoot and resolve production and maintenance issuesPrioritize maintenance needsProvide shift reporting, including logging of daily production totals into computer systemsAssist with and lead changes through management of change processDevelop or revise working practices and procedures to ensure compliance with standardsRequired EducationA minimum or 5 years of operations experience in a chemical manufacturing or BS degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing. Leadership experience is highly preferred.QualificationsMust have demonstrated experience working in a team environment as well as good communication skills.
