Founded in 1818, the company is headquartered in White Plains, New York.Position Summary:This position will manage the production of packaged product in a safe working environment and be responsible for producing quality product according to schedule. They must maintain a working knowledge of how to operate all production equipment, and train, motivate, and hold accountable the people under their supervision.Core Functions:Ensure all personnel are properly trained on the safe operation of any machinery that they are assigned to operate. Responsible for meeting safety, productivity, quality, and scheduled attainment goals of a production shiftResponsible for the scheduling of employees and work assignments in the most efficient and effective waysAssists the Maintenance group by taking care of production asset and providing input on their operationProvide input to the Production Scheduler to aid in development of a daily and weekly production scheduleEnsure consistent compliance with all Bunge work rules and establish production procedures including issuing disciplinary corrective actionBe able to perform all jobs within their area of responsibilityEffectively communicate problems and needs of the employees and production with Shift Supervisors, Production Manager, Scheduler, etcEvaluate employee performance and recommend areas for development to prepare the employee for increased levels responsibilityEnsure compliance to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points and Good Manufacturing Practice guidelinesPerform any additional tasks assigned by managementSkill/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentThree years supervisory experience (manufacturing preferred)Ability to manage personnel, time, and materials safely and efficientlyStrong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Exposure to SAP is preferredStrong verbal communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of food safety,food security, pallet jack training, first aid/CPR, emergency first responders, lock-out/tag-out, ammonia training, and spill containment is a plusShifts will vary based on production needs, to include overnight and some weekend shiftsBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
