Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

We provide innovative solutions for their fresh meat case, frozen meat departments, deli counters, and more.?Cargill Turkey & Cooked Meats is seeking a 2nd shift?Production Supervisor?in our Albert Lea, MN plant.? The successful candidate will?lead?a team in the production area of the plant, performing tasks to ensure products produced meet established food safety and quality parameters.? ?Principle Accountabilities:
50% – Development and supervison of direct and indirect reports. Help create an environment where all are expected to be active members of the team ? involved in the business.? Maintain the production practices that support the food safety program in the facility. Monitor product quality and production operations to meet customer expectations. 20% -?Champion safety processes, ergonomic efforts and creating an environment where all team members hold each other accountable for keeping their co-workers safe.? Actively work to prevent/eliminate hazards that cause injury or illness. ?
Production Supervisors work in both cold and warm environments.?Must be flexible to work weekends as needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent?written and verbal communication skills.? Fluency in reading/writing in English
Basic math skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Must work well in a team environment
Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word?Preferred Qualifications Previous Quality Assurance, laboratory experience
Previous experience in food processing or meat processing
Associates or Bachelors degree in Food Science or related field ?
