SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising hourly production Team Members while ensuring goals related to production schedules, food safety/quality, and workplace safety are met; as well as any additional assignments deemed appropriate by management. As a member of management, the Production Supervisor will be required to achieve department and plant objectives; and must be able to supervise, train, coach, counsel, and direct other Team Members in accordance withTyson Foods' Core Values. This position works with beef and/or pork products, as well as other ingredients that may be a potential allergen. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Postsecondary education (associate's or bachelor's degree) in agriculture, operations management, or general business is preferred. Experience: At least one (1) year experience in a leadership role, or an associate's or bachelor's degree in lieu of experience. Must havegeneral knowledge of food production methods and techniques, gained through experience or education. Experience in the meat industry preferred. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required. Bilingual skills preferred. Must have the ability to complete required paperwork and reporting. Supervisory: Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example. Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action when necessary. Special Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are required. Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess a problem-solving mentality.
