The Land OLakes Supply Chain & Operations division provides strategic leadership across the companys many business units. The team plays a significant role in fueling revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence, quality, process improvement and innovation. By partnering closely with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, the team delivers value to Land OLakes business units, members and customers.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an eager, poised, assertive, and ambitious leader with the passion to lead and develop employees and teams in our Powder Milk Department in order to deliver outstanding manufacturing results in the areas of Cost, Quality, Service, People, and Environment. The ideal candidate must have the ability to attract, retain, develop, inspire and empower employees to drive sustainable continuous improvement at all levels in a unionized manufacturing facility.
The Production Supervisor must possess the initiative to share best practices within the facility, across our supply chain, and with external resources in order to achieve leading-edge manufacturing and supply chain technologies.
Reports to: Business Unit Manager
Powder Milk Department
Responsibilities:
Focus on Safety of all employees and work environment through adherence of safety procedures
-Ensure compliance of GMPs and the Food Safety Plan -Deliver continuous improvement in key initiatives of Cost, Quality, Service, People, and Environment through efficient use of materials, equipment and resources
-Proactively communicate and coordinate with other Supervisors and functions to optimize operations and resources
-Effectively plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production schedules to meet and exceed customer requirements, production goals, and TMM Objectives
-Proactively coordinate with the Maintenance Department to conduct preventative maintenance Own and drive department and shift Continuous improvement/TMM processes
-Puts the internal and external customer first -Understands the financial impact of Line Efficiency, Material Yield, and Labor Productivity on plant budgets and develops Action Plans to address gaps
-Possess brilliant focus on material yield in all aspects of the manufacturing processes -Optimize staffing to ensure efficient yet effective labor productivity
-Leads engagement of employees, work teams, and the utilization of technology in order to deliver world-class line efficiencies. Lead Employees
-Achieves results through teamwork
-Leads through positive influence; coaches and develops others and, where appropriate, peers
-Partners with Training Manager, Business Unit Manager, and other Supervisors to lead training and development of departmental employees
-Provides clear and timely performance feedback to peers and all employees
-Attracts, retains and develops the very BEST talent and empowers, engages, and inspires employees
-Takes active leadership role in promoting diversity and inclusion
Required Experience and Knowledge:
-Bachelor's degree and 2+ plus years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
-Must possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills
-Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company
-Proficient computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
-Effective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
-2+ years of manufacturing or warehouse work experience
-Supervisory experience in a unionized environment
-Open to relocation to other facilities in the future

-Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work environment:
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The temperature of the work environment can fluctuate due to occasional temperatures from cold/cool to warm/hot
-The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require ear plugs. While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment
Work Schedule:
-Variable, based on operational needs: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
