Production Team Lead – #01DG1
Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a lead with a high degree of knowledge in the Assembly and/or Manufacturing field and expertise in specific Production areas. This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to apply your experience in the Assembly, Manufacturing or Production fields to recommend and administer procedures and processes in the functional area, contribute to a team effort, coach and develop new staff and to foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. This role will work with cross-functionally with forecasting to be able to organize and schedule various manufacturing responsibilities to meet the goals of the organization. Responsibilities:A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks, with Team Lead activities constituting a primary part of the job during peak season Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasksRegularly works on tasks that are varied and complexAdapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet specialized needsWorks with Supervisor in formulating and administering procedures and processes in their functional areaHas some responsibility to organize work to achieve the goals for the departmentContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededInitiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departmentsPerforms broad and/or focused assignments under minimal or no supervisionSpecialized knowledge in process and proceduresAssists supervisor in training of new staffEnsures that the schedule provided to them by their supervisor is followed. Responsible for accurate reporting of completed Work OrdersWorks with Supervisor in scheduling staff and daily Production jobsReleases Work Orders to the Production floorResponsible for setting up Work Centers in a timely and organized manner, as well as tearing down the Work Center when the Work Order is complete.Monitoring the amount and quality of work at each Work Center, while building a working relationship with the laborersResponsible for bringing Quality issues and parts availability issues to the attention of supervisionReports to Production SupervisorQualifications:Required Skills/Experience:2 plus years of experience and/or training in Assembly, Manufacturing, Shipping and/or ProductionAbility to be flexible and adept at shifting priorities and directionsProficiency with basic Warehouse Management/Manufacturing softwareMinimum High School Education Desired Skills/Experience:Proven track record of effective people management skillsProcess Improvement skills or experience1 plus year in Precision agriculture, preferredPast experience in leading, coaching and trainingApply for this job.
