Production Training Tech This is a full time Non-Exempt level position
General Purpose of the Job: Operates and trains employees on all processing equipment, assists in receiving and dispatch, engages in equipment maintenance, and observes good manufacturing practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and deliver training to all production employees on the proper method of operating, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling production equipment.Sets up and operates processing equipment including seed cleaners, de-hullers, extruders, screw presses, coolers, grinders, blenders, steam pre-conditioners, cutters, dryers, size separators, baggers, and materials handling equipment. Disassembles processing equipment and cleans them by dry cleaning or wet cleaning according to standard operating procedures of Harvest Innovations.Cleans the production facility according to standard operating procedures of Harvest Innovations.Responsible for food safety in equipment and sanitationAssists in preventive maintenance of equipment and facility.Assists in research and customer support activities on company-wide basis as directed by management.Observes personal hygiene and food handling requirements set forth by Harvest Innovations.Maintains good rapport with other manufacturing staff.Performs such other duties as may be assigned by management.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED; with 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery.Computer; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Physical Demand: Ability to lift, push, pull 50+ lbs.
Will also require standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling.
Environmental Conditions: Work is performed in a non-climate control factory.Work environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toe work boots, hard hats and any other protective gear.
