Produce safe, high quality products. Direct and train P&L staff to achieve efficiencies while maintaining food safety policy, mission, purpose, and quality statements. PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: Monday through Friday 7AM – 4PM: may vary depending on workload and schedule needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following – Other duties may be assigned: Schedule packing production to align with sales demandManage inventory of packaging suppliesInterface with Logistics on shipping schedulesCoordinate the shipment of samplesSupervise the day to day packing operationActs as a resource for members of the teamCommunicates well with all levels of the organization, and actively engages others in problem solving SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct management to 2-4 pack and loading operators QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1-2 years of progressive supervisory experience in a food production environment.Must possess excellent leadership skills.Must have solid communication skills and be able to interact and productively communicate with all levels of the organization.Must possess the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesMust exercise solid common sense judgement when making decisions LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write reports, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively and professionally present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have ability to read and comprehend basic financial statements and other business related documents. REASONING ABILITY:Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for rapidly moving and changing work schedules and event calendars.
