We currently have a Program Manager – Digital position available at Simplot's headquarters in Boise, ID.SUMMARYManage all aspects of a portfolio of digital projects in Sales and Marketing domains including scope, objectives, deliverables, tasks, budgets, resources, schedules, cross-functional team, dependencies, and change in a matrix environment.Exercises independent judgment to help develop strategy, policy, direction, methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives of the overall program.Oversee the development and deployment of projects, ensuring committed scope is delivered in the committed timeframe. Ensures clear communications with all relevant stakeholders (management, business partners, suppliers, etc.) throughout the project.Must have a technical background sufficient to understand the technologies and technical issues involved with digital projects (websites, mobile apps, e-commerce, advertising, content, campaigns, etc.), to anticipate and identify critical technical obstacles, and to make appropriate decisions. Must have experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Must have the ability to lead and motivate people and encourage teamwork, the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, and have a clear vision of what determines a successful program for the business partners and for the Company.Must have the courage to face up to issues squarely and early, resolve conflicts, seek coaching openly, escalate if necessary, and generally champion the mission up, down, and across the IT organization and with the business.RESPONSIBILITIESOverall program accountability to key stakeholders: 40%Single source for leadership and business interaction necessary for understanding of overall Program progress, risks, understanding of interdependencies, etc. Implement Program level lessons learned based on retrospectives seen within the projects within the Program.Oversight of all project managers and teams accountable to the delivery of the program: 30%Interactions with project delivery teams and Project Managers that support the overall success of the Program. Provide guidance in prioritization and resolve escalated risks and issues as possible and be watchful of interdependencies across the projects. Attend project delivery team demos, retrospectives, and other ceremonies to be fully knowledgeable of the status of delivery for each project which supports the overall Program. 30%Ad-hoc project management responsibilities associated with the program: 10%Project Management needs that may arise within the Program not necessarily tied to a specified project effort.Influence and participate in Agile methodology adoption: 10%Evangelist of Program Management methodologies and how it ties into Agile. Assist in the strategic overall introduction of agile practices, etc.Develop strategic roadmap influence associated with the program: 10%Based on business understanding and Program engagement, provide guidance on roadmap suggestions for the evolution of the Program's needs.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree from 4-year college or universityMater's Degree preferredTen to fifteen years of experience and/or training. Knowledge of Sales and Digital Marketing domains. Skills in Lean and Agile are a must. Portfolio or Program Management experience or equivalent. Scrum Master or equivalent Agile project management. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred Adheres to all standards, policies, and systems as appropriate.
