Seneca, SC Wherethe Chemistry Happens We areseeking a professional like you to service the technical support needs for alinked regional site. You will be responsible for providing project engineeringand project coordination support in assigned plant areas to assure properdesign, procurement, and construction of capital and expense projects (usually<$15M) per regulatory and BASF standards. In addition to project engineering and coordination support on $5M-15Mprojects, you will also be involved in managing small projects (<$1M) fromdevelopment scope to completion.Formulafor SuccessLeveraging youreducational background in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) and professional engineering experience in a chemical/ petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment (preferably in a ProjectEngineering role), you will developproject scopes, generate and obtain cost estimates, and prepare appropriationfunding requests. Additionally, you will ensure appropriate project safetyreviews are completed as required, both before and after approval, and utilizeapplicable Value- Based Engineering practices (VBEs) to optimize project scope,schedule, and costs.Successfullyengaging across the organization, you will develop, establish, and maintainpartnerships with assigned project manufacturing representatives to executeprojects from initial scoping and funding, through detailed engineering andprocurement, to startup and commissioning, and final documentation and closure.As a leader ofproject teams, you will request and coordinate required process and disciplineengineering and design resources, whether from the site, corporate groups oroutside engineering vendors, to prepare engineering design deliverables and procureequipment, fabricated materials, and services.Demonstratingyour breadth of knowledge and versatility, you will provide support as adiscipline Engineer for assigned projects and work with Procurement to performprocurement activities as required, including: preparing specifications,issuing requisitions, evaluating bids, and dealing with vendors.Your broadknowledge of chemical unit operations will be a valued asset as you ensurecompliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promotea safe working environment for project execution. Additionally, you will adhere to currentcorporate and plant requirements for equipment/materials specifications andvendor preferences.Leaningon your business savvy, you will maintain SAP project data entries, monitorproject progress through scheduling and other tools, perform project statusreporting, and control spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, andadjustments.Yoursolid attention to detail and organizational skills will be a valued asset asyou will follow through to ensure that Operations achieves a successful projectstartup, and that any project-related action items are completed.
