Palmyra, MO Where theChemistry Happens We are seeking aprofessional like you to service the technical support needs for a linkedregional site. You will be responsible for providing project management inassigned plant areas to assure proper design, procurement, and construction ofcapital and expense projects (usually <$15M) per regulatory and BASFstandards. This role will requireupto 50% regular travel schedule to support the business.Formulafor SuccessLeveraging youreducational background in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) and professional experience as a ProjectManager or similar professional experience in a chemical / petrochemical orsimilar manufacturing environment, youwill develop project scopes, generate and obtain cost estimates, and prepareappropriation funding requests. Additionally, you will ensure appropriateproject safety reviews are completed as required, both before and afterapproval, and utilize applicable Value- Based Engineering practices (VBEs) tooptimize project scope and costs.Successfullyengaging across the organization, you will develop, establish, and maintainpartnerships with assigned project manufacturing representatives to executeprojects from initial scoping and funding, through detailed engineering andprocurement, to startup and commissioning, and final documentation and closure. Additionally, you will requestnecessary construction and commissioning resources from Construction and othersas required to install the scope of work.As a leader ofproject teams, you will request and coordinate required process and disciplineengineering and design resources, whether from the site or corporate groups oroutside engineering vendors, to prepare engineering design deliverables andprocure equipment, fabricated materials, and services.Demonstratingyour computer proficiency, including experience using SAP project functions,you will maintain SAP project data entries, monitor project progress throughscheduling and other tools, perform project status reporting, and controlspending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, and adjustments.Your broadknowledge of chemical unit operations will be a valued asset as you ensurecompliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promotea safe working environment for project execution. Additionally, you will adhere to currentcorporate and plant requirements for equipment/materials specifications andvendor preferences.Your unwaveringcommitment to follow through will be essential as you monitor andsupport construction activities to ensure that projects are completed per thedesign deliverables, quality standards, and plant requirements, and thatpre-startup safety reviews are conducted. You will also follow through to ensure that Operations achieves asuccessful project startup, and that any project-related action items arecompleted, close projects per guidelines, and ensure proper documentation offiles, records, databases, and drawings to meet regulatory and BASFrequirements.Workingcollaboratively, you will perform procurementactivities as required, including preparing specifications, issuingrequisitions, evaluating bids, and dealing with vendors.
