YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Protein Biochemist, are to:
Primary responsibility of complex projects for the expression of recombinant proteins in bacterial cells or other expression systems;
Developing and optimizing protein purification procedures from plant tissues, and bacterial or insect cells;
Developing and validating enzyme assays;
Performing protein characterization using a panel of analytical methods;
Performing data documentation and preparation of reports;
Managing studies under GLP requirements;
Conducts novel process improvement activities that require specialized knowledge and the broad application of scientific principles;
Takes initiative in keeping current with literature in areas of assignment and in areas of professional interest.

PhD with minimum years relevant experience or MS with minimum of 2 years relevant experience or BS with minimum of 5 years relevant experience;
Conducts research and contributes to research projects, technologies, publications, intellectual property, or trade secrets;
Technical knowledge and hands on experience of protein expression, purification and protein analytical techniques;
Proven track record of being able to work with strict deadlines in a highly demanding and dynamic environment;
Ability to handle multiple projects at one time;
Excellent written communication, data documentation, and oral presentation skills.
Domestic relocation may be offered for this role.
